The true and solid peace of nations consists not in equality of arms, but in mutual trust alone. -Pope John XXIII The rattling clamour of diplomacy, understanding of international issues and laws, negotiations, resolving crises and intense arguments filled the red brick dividers of UWS during the 3rd UWS MUN conducted on 7th and 8th August 2023. A total of 145 delegates from nine reputed schools of Dehradun participated in the seven committees of the MUN. All the rallies, inquiries regarding sessions, and enthusiasm among Uthena's prior to the event's start reached zenith when the two-day MUN began. The theme for the MUN ‘Coincide with Polarity: The Aspect of a Better World’ enabled the students to develop critical thinking enhance oratory skills and grasp a better understanding of Geopolitics. The seven committees of the MUN discussed and debated on world concerns and tried to reach peaceful consensus. The Chief Guest Ms. P Karunya Rao; journalist and co-founder Cogent Media Lab congratulated all the delegates for their impeccable performance. The principal Dr Mona Khanna in her address emphasized on being independent, self -sufficient and uphold high moral character for resolving critical global issues. The Best Delegation award was bagged by The OASIS school, The two-day event was fruitful and advantageous as the young delegates understood the stance of all the countries and learnt to work in collaboration for attaining world peace
