Pascal, Cayley and Fermat Contest 202401-Apr-2024

On the 29th of February 2024, a total of 79 girls from Grades IX, X, and XI of Unison World School, Dehradun, actively participated in the Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Contests, respectively. The outcomes of these competitions were officially disclosed on the evening of the 1st of April 2024. These contests, namely the Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Contests, are organised by the University of Waterloo, Canada, aiming to challenge students worldwide across varying proficiency levels and to enhance their problem-solving abilities. The posed questions proved to be notably demanding, engrossing the attention of the students as they endeavoured to solve them. These contests serve to foster the development of analytical thinking, problem-solving acumen, and mathematical literacy among the student body. Additionally, they cultivate a sense of unity and camaraderie among mathematics enthusiasts, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries. The notable achievers in the Pascal, Cayley, and Fermat Contests of 2024 from Unison World School are Hiral Bansal & Tanvi Lohia, Suhani Agrawal, and Vartika Nathani, respectively, who have secured the top positions in the school.
