Virtual Reality (AR) Workshop28-Oct-2022

“Technology, like Art, is a soaring exercise of the human imagination” – Daniel Bell.    A two-day Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality workshop was conducted at Unison World School from 28th to 29th October 2022. The workshop was held by Techradiance in association with Elan & Nvision IIT Hyderabad. The resource person for the workshop was Mr Manish, a research engineer in Harbour Technologies, with immense experience in the field of “Virtual Reality”, “Game Designing”, and “AR Blockchain, Python & IOT” for more than 3.5 years.  He has delivered more than 200 workshops in colleges, NITs & IITs. Delivered more than 70 training pan India.  Augmented and Virtual reality provides means by which applications can be made which bring imaginary things to reality. It enables students to create, configure, and customize virtual applications. This two-day workshop was divided into four sessions where a total of eighty students worked in the group of four or five:  Session 1 :   Introduction to VR.  AR vs VR  VR applications   Software distribution.  Session 2:  Working on 3d Unity  Functions of 3d Unity  Basic ball game design  Session 3:  Designing boxes, mountains, trees, and water.  Creating coins with animation  Displaying score  Designing a Virtual maze game  Session 4:  VR kit distribution  VR Google Headset building.  Demonstration of live VR projects developed by students.  This workshop cum training enabled the students to apply a step-by-step approach while learning VR/AR concepts. The workshop was interesting, and knowledgeable, and engaged every student in a fruitful manner.  At the end of the workshop, twenty-four students were selected out of eighty for the final round to be held at IIT Hyderabad.
