SPIC MACAY-Odissi Dance Recital10-Mar-2022

Students at Unison World School witnessed Odissi dance recital by Vidushi Madhavi Mudgal under the aegis of SPIC MACAY on 10th March 2022. The event began with Principal Ms. Divya Dwivedi extending a warm welcome to Madhavi Mudgal Ji, a Padma Shree awardee, and her team. The dance recital started with a beautiful Vandana “Mangalacharan” which depicted Lord Ganesha. She also performed “Battu” a rhythmic piece of Odissi dance followed by Abhinaya on a poem of “Bonomali”. The artist ended her performance with a mesmerizing rhythmic piece “Shankaravaranam Pallavi”. Her expressions, gestures, and energy held everyone spellbound throughout her dance recitals. During the question-and-answer period, she emphasized the importance of preserving our culture and values, which are deeply rooted in our classical dance forms and music. The enriching and splendid session concluded with the felicitation of the esteemed artist with a shawl and school memento.
