Money Smart School Programme 2023 -20224-Feb-2024

The Commerce Department at UWS successfully conducted the Money Smart School Programme, culminating in a comprehensive test assessing students’ understanding. The programme was initiated for the grades of VI to IX 2023 - 2024. For the students, interactive seminars based on real-world case studies that promoted practical comprehension were planned. The students took an exam on February 24, 2024, covering fundamental ideas such as financial institutions, insurance, investment, savings, and consumer protection. The aim of the programme was to improve the money management skills, encourage savings, enhance decision making, and to have a greater understanding of investments which ultimately empowers students to make informed financial choices for their future.
