Capacity Building Programme on Classroom Management09-Mar-2024

A Classroom Management session was held at Unison World School on 9th March 2024, with the objective of providing optimal learning environment to the students, fostering a sense of belonging, and accepting diversity. Dr. Vidhukesh Vimal a certified School Management Leadership educationist from Havard and founding member of the prestigious BSAI was the resource person. After the initial brainstorming and interactive session on purpose, guiding principles and role of teacher in classroom management the focus shifted on the three prominent components of Effective Classroom Management (Content Management, Conduct Management and Covenant Management). Through anecdotes, real life scenarios faced by teachers Dr. Vidhukesh Vimal in a subtle and humorous brought to everyone’s attention that classroom problems arise because the emphasis is mostly on Content Management rather than Conduct and Covenant Management. The learning outcomes can be attained if there is harmony between the objectives set by the teacher and the school objectives, strong interpersonal relationship of trust between the teacher and students, clear class rules and clear expectations set for the student according to his abilities.
