On August 3, 2024, Unison World School hosted an awe-inspiring celebration of music and dance, aptly named HARMONY. This grand event brought together a vibrant display of artistic talent across five captivating categories, showcasing the diverse and dynamic nature of both Western and Indian musical and dance traditions. The event featured a stellar lineup of performances from a total of 340 participants representing 16 prestigious schools, including the host, Unison World School. In the inaugural session of the program, the school Principal Dr. Mona Khanna along with the Vice Principal Ms. Rimpy Ahuja and all the coordinators followed the Indian cultural tradition by lighting the lamp. Principal Dr. Khanna, in her welcome speech while announcing the launch of Harmony- 2024, said that music is not just a combination of tune and rhythm, but it is also a powerful expression of our human emotions and sensibilities. She said that through these tunes we can make successful efforts towards nurturing the feelings of affection, cooperation and appreciation. The Chief Guest of the function, Ms. Pallavi Bharti, a renowned entertainment actress, experienced voice artist and radio artiste, congratulated all the participants and appreciated their excellent artistic performance. Encouraging the participants, Ms. Bharti said that if we try to achieve our objective with strong will power, loyalty, and dedication, then achieving the desirable goals is definitely possible. The results of Harmony In the Voicestra, Western Choir category, St. George's College triumphed as the winner, captivating the audience with their exceptional rendition. Moving to the Shruti - Indian Vocal category, the top honours in this category was claimed by Ann Mary School, whose performance left an indelible mark on all present. In the Battle of Beats- Country Rock Band competition, the ultimate winner was Shri Ram Centennial School, whose performance was nothing short of spectacular. The Trivat - Indian Classical Dance category Hopetown Girls’ School clinched the winner’s trophy with a mesmerizing display of classical dance. In the Step-Up: Western Dance category, St. George’s College emerged as the winner, impressing everyone with their outstanding dance moves. The overall trophy of Harmony 2024, the 7th edition of this prestigious event, was awarded to Hopetown Girls’ School. Their consistent excellence across multiple categories made them the standout performers of the competition.
