Together may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly. Each Heart grappled with tumult of emotions, and apprehensions clouded the mind as the new stake holders entered the portal of Unison World School on 31st March 2024 to drop off their adorable daughters and attend the 18th Parent Orientation Programme. The new students were received and escorted by their buddies (old Students) to assist them in the smooth documentation and giving them a round of their dorms. The Principal Dr Mona Khanna initiated the Orientation programme with a prayer and congratulated the parents for committing the future of their little princess to the faculty Unison World School. Highlighting the administrative functioning, academic and curricular prowess of the school the principal introduced the administrative, academic and pastoral staff. She assured the parents that the staff members’ unwavering efforts, resilience, discipline and cultural fineness will provide holistic growth to their darling daughters and help them evolve as confident young ladies. In loco parentis, the house system, and the pastoral team's involvement were emphasized as means of facilitating the child's seamless transfer from day school to boarding school. The parents were also informed about the school calendar, emails, phone calls and night outs. In keeping with school’s ethos, the principal also outlined the cooperation and expectations the institute looks for from the parents for better understanding, smooth functioning and to help their child spread her wings to soar high. The house was then open for the parents to get their queries resolved. An expression of contentment replaced apprehension on the parents' faces when their worries about career counselling, sports selection criteria, one-on-one attention for pupils who struggled academically, and nutrition monitoring were allayed. After the orientation as the parents left their daughters in the tender care of Unison Faculty an intense upsurge of emotions was experienced by many.
