Tie and Dye or Bandhani (local name), is a very old traditional and trendy art form in India and it is associated with the medium of Textile art and is very famous all over the world. The process of Tie and Dye generally consists of folding, twisting, pleating or crumpling fabrics and binding it with threads or rubber bands followed by application of dye. On 22nd October, 2019, a one day tie and dye workshop was held at the Textile studio in UWS with St. Francis’ College delegates. During this workshop they tied the cloth and dyed it with colours themselves and produced colourful designs on the cloth. They were very pleased, delighted and impressed at the result of their own creativity
